Jewelry is as old as the history of man himself. Man has continued to live with various jewelry products. In the ancient period, it used to be a thing of joy to appear very gorgeous with various Jewelry products. Among the ancient cities that had a lot to do with the Jewelry products are the cities that make up the Middle East. Prominent nations of the ancient Middle East that had enough of the Jewelry products include: Babylon and Assyria.![]() Here are some facts about Jewelry in the Middle East: The Ancient Babylonian cities were known for so many artists who were very much at home with the production of so many kinds of jewelry products. They had lots of technical knowledge which came directly from their brain and handiwork in the production of various works of art including the jewelry products. In the ancient Babylon, the basic jewelry products seen there include: the diadems, necklaces, earrings, animal amulets and others. Most of the artist made use of gold and silver products in the manufacturing of such products. The Assyrian is the ancient Mesopotamia kingdom that was also known for having great artists that produced local jewelry products which were mainly used for decorative purposes in the city as at that time.
